Lana Del Rey...u sad?
My German roommate Ronja was the first to tell me about Lana Del Rey. “Who the eff is this person?” I asked. “Oh, she’s a popular singer from America!” Had absolutely no clue.
Then the thing from SNL happens that had the whole internet in a giant uproar because she “couldn’t ‘perform’.” Then I start thinking “Wait, she’s on...

Google+ thoughts, part 2
I’m thinking Google may have solved the plaguing problem with Facebook, which I call the “I don’t want to share this news with the whole friggin’ world”. Facebook ushered a new era of intimacy among its users (compare the normal FB picture with a MySpace snap photo), maybe Google+ will further ‘mature’ social networking beyond the Facebook...

Everything sounds pretty positive about Google+. But doesn’t anyone want to use Orkut with me??
INFP, or also known as "A little bit about me" →
Took the Meyers-Briggs test again after ten years. Still am an INFP. Either way, never underestimate how much you can learn about yourself through a little reflection and analysis.
Now serving #27
I turned 27 today. This year’s gonna be a bold one.
Wow, South Park..
After 15 years of watching this show (wtf!), I think that’s the first time I ever felt sad after watching the show. Some real ‘meta’ discontent fused into the show on behalf of Matt Stone and Trey Parker. Where to go from here??
As always, the AV Club has the best insight.

Queens of the Stone Age
I’m still up at 4:44am still working on freelance work. Still a bit drunk. The only thing keeping me going at this point is QoTSA. What is it with musicians who grew up in the desert having an affinity and/or gearing the music they write based more off of ‘sounds’? Something Zappa and Homme share…though Zappa wrote in a more articulated, comprehensive manner, composing epic...

This Tech Bubble is Different. →
BusinessWeek ran a very interesting piece on the new ‘tech bubble’. It confirmed my biggest fear: that the smartest people out there are using their knowledge to build successful businesses through ad-tech scheming that has little to no impact on the world’s well-being.
It also confirmed another one of my biggest fears: that i’m not smart enough to be one of those people...

HEART SOUL SPIRIT, art by Michael V. Rios.
This is a little mini-doc I helped out with, doing research and leading the interview presented in this here video. The wonderful Carmen Osterlye aka Vizibelle lent her talents and hard work at the last minute to make this into what you see here.
If you’re in San Francisco, stop by The Summit on Valencia Street to come see Michael’s art.
