BusinessWeek ran a very interesting piece on the new ‘tech bubble’. It confirmed my biggest fear: that the smartest people out there are using their knowledge to build successful businesses through ad-tech scheming that has little to no impact on the world’s well-being.
It also confirmed another one of my biggest fears: that i’m not smart enough to be one of those people who can create ad models that motivate people to buy stuff.
And then it again confirmed my next biggest fear: that modern day education has only led the brilliant to create schemes in order to make people purchase something…all those years of school, lectures, tests, and now you’re creating something to make someone buy that pair of jeans, that car, that soap…lending their educational talents towards something that is essentially value-less.
Basically, things like the manned space flight to Mars isn’t cool anymore. No, instead people like Justin Timberlake saying “a billion dollars” is.
