I’m thinking Google may have solved the plaguing problem with Facebook, which I call the “I don’t want to share this news with the whole friggin’ world”. Facebook ushered a new era of intimacy among its users (compare the normal FB picture with a MySpace snap photo), maybe Google+ will further ‘mature’ social networking beyond the Facebook ‘megaphone’ (“Hear my status update, world!”) and enhance intimacy among friends and friend groups through relevancy.
Because I never did care about those MySpace hoes, and then I didn’t really care too much for that blonde bombshell who I barely spoke with in my Econ class Junior year who added me on Facebook. Maybe Google+ has figured out a way to rein in friend connections a bit further.
